On Monday 9th September, a group of ladies will be embarking on an adventure to ride our bikes from Land’s End to John O’Groates.
Claire rode this last year and she will be our support, driving our gear each day and hopefully rescuing us if we get into trouble!
Carol, Soo and myself will be riding the 1000 mile route. We will ride about 50 miles each day. 21 days including 1 rest day in the middle.
Claire has a fantastic vehicle with a bike carrier to get us all down to the start, and back from the finish.
We are all looking forward to this challenge, and the opportunity to see the length of Britain.
In doing this ride, I would like to highlight a local charity Cancer United:
Cancer United is a unique cancer support charity based in West Sussex offering help and support for all those living in Sussex whose lives have been affected by a cancer diagnosis.
We aim to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of those with cancer from diagnosis onwards, inspiring them to embrace the things they can do and to refuse to be defined by what they can’t.
Having been through thyroid cancer (Cancer Journey) I am so grateful for all the help and support that I have received and I would like to give back to this charity that does such great work in our community.
